Privacy Policy
Overview
Simple RSS+ is an RSS reader for iOS that delivers real push notifications when your subscribed feeds publish new articles. To provide this service, the app communicates with servers operated by fromhelloworld. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
The short version: Simple RSS+ does not require an account, does not track you, and does not show ads. We store only what is necessary to sync your feeds and deliver push notifications. We do not sell or share your data.
Data We Collect
When you use Simple RSS+, the following data is stored on our servers:

| Device identifier | A random ID generated by the app on first launch. This is not your system UDID, Apple ID, or advertising identifier. It allows us to associate your subscriptions with your device. |
| APNS token | A token provided by Apple Push Notification Service, used solely to deliver push notifications to your device when new articles are published. |
| Feed subscriptions | The RSS/Atom feed URLs you add, along with folder names and organization structure. Required for server-side feed monitoring. |
| Read/unread state | Article identifiers marking which items you have read. Synced so your reading progress persists across reinstalls. |
| Bookmarks | Bookmarked article identifiers, feed references, bookmark folder names, and dates. Synced for persistence. |
| Saved searches | Search terms you choose to save within the app. |
| Push preferences | Your per-feed notification settings (on or off) so we only send alerts for feeds you want. |
Data We Do Not Collect
Simple RSS+ is designed to respect your privacy. We do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any account credentials -- the app is fully anonymous
- Location data
- Contacts or address book information
- Photos, camera, or microphone access
- Apple advertising identifier (IDFA)
- Browsing history or behavioral data outside the app
The app contains no analytics SDKs, no third-party tracking, no advertising frameworks, and no behavioral profiling of any kind.
Third Parties
Apple Push Notification Service (APNS)
Push notifications are delivered through Apple's APNS infrastructure. We send your APNS token to Apple solely to route notifications to your device. Apple's own privacy policy governs their handling of that data.
RSS Feed Publishers
When our server fetches RSS feeds you have subscribed to, the publisher's server receives a standard HTTP request from our server -- not from your device directly. No personal data or device information is included in these requests.
No Other Third Parties
We do not use any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or data brokers. Your data stays between you, our server, and Apple (for push delivery only).
Data Security
- All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption
- Data is stored on servers operated by fromhelloworld, located in Japan
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for any commercial purpose
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is retained on our servers while you actively use the app. If you wish to have your data deleted, contact us at [email protected] and we will remove all data associated with your device identifier.
OPML Import and Export
Simple RSS+ supports importing and exporting your feed list via OPML files. This operation is handled locally on your device through the iOS file system. OPML files are not uploaded to or processed by our servers (beyond the feed URLs themselves being added to your subscription list when you import).
Children's Privacy
Simple RSS+ is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, the effective date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
Governing Law
This privacy policy is governed by the laws of Japan.
